College Campus Support
Following Hamas’ attack on Israel on October 7th, there has been an uptick of antisemitic protests and rallies on many of the major and most prestigious universities in the U.S. In the midst of rampant Antisemitism on these campuses, Catholic universities are stepping up to accommodate and provide for Jewish students. One school installed a kosher kitchen for a Jewish student, which ultimately encouraged other Jewish students to attend the university as well. In Ohio, Franciscan University announced they would be a “safe haven” for any Jewish students wishing to attend and that they would provide scholarships and help with the transferring process if needed. Following this, Walsh University, another Catholic school in Ohio, also announced that it will be a safe place for Jewish students. I’m sure Jewish students in the U.S. are happy to know there are still safe places to receive an education!
